Good morning, all. And Happy Payday! Please check your bank today to make sure your payroll transfer is there. Katie Hunt, our accounting temp, has been working diligently to get payroll processed, and it looks like everything went just great.
Summer Reading is HERE! Are ya ready? We just about are in YS…we are still doing some last minute prize distribution. If you have any questions about prizes, the game, etc…just let your resident children’s person know or feel free to contact me directly.
Construction progress on each of the three new libraries continues. The Lucero Library now is being framed (see attached photograph). The St. Charles Mesa Library is further along with framing completing now, the parking lot and access road finished, and building dry-in commencing. The Greenhorn Valley Library also is well along with dry-in underway now and the parking lot and access road ready to be built.
Due to construction projects this summer and the future opening of three new libraries, the following satellites permanently closed their doors last Friday, May 30th: Vineland, South Mesa, North Mesa and Cesar Chavez Academy (Hyde Park).
Since Jill will be moving over to Barkman on Monday, we have shifted some of her job duties to others temporarily. If you need help with magazines or databases please let Teresa Valenti know. If you have a question about a patron request, you can send that to Rich Poll. Fin

Based on some feedback from staff, a discussion with Shelly Taylor, overseeing Crime Prevention for the Pueblo Police Department, has been planned for Thursday, June 5th begining at 2pm in Bret Kelly A. Let your manager know if you are interested in participating in this discussion.
It is official! The name of the new library under construction on the City of Pueblo's east side is the Patrick A. Lucero Library. The PCCLD Board of Trustees took action last evening at their regular monthly meeting to name the new library for Mr. Lucero.
