PCCLD University – Now Open for Enrollment!

We are excited to announce the opening of PCCLD University – an online learning space where PCCLD staff can build the knowledge and skills needed to create an exemplary library workforce.

Anthony Richard

Anthony Richard is a repeat offender violating bicycle rules in courtyard with multiple complaints of near misses striking patrons. Richard has also violated harassment rules towards staff. Richard is suspended for 3 months and is eligible for reinstatement on 04/02/2020 Richard was on Rawlings property asking people for money in violation of his suspension on 01/09/2020. Anthony Richard has been reinstated. Patron served the suspension term plus 10 months without further incidents or occurrences.

Justin Jaramillo

Justin Jaramillo was involved in vandalism and theft to an employee's vehicle at Lucero library. Jaramillo broke driver's window out then opened trunk and took the spare tire. Justin Jaramillo will remain on suspension status until he meets with the appropriate personnel for reinstatement. If seen contact Pueblo Police as a report is on file with them. Advise dispatch of case #19-26896. DO NOT REMOVE FROM SUSPENSION STATUS Patron is required to complete the reinstatement process before returning to any library location.

Happy Hanukkah from Youth Services

YS partnered with Temple Imanuel to offer a day of Hanukkah activities. Participants made crafts, ate donuts, and played the dreidel game. 67 people attended! A big thank you to Hannah, Helena and Miriam from Temple Imanuel, as well as Magi and Angel on the YS staff who helped set it all up.

Peter Aragon

Aragon reinstated as of 02/25/2020. Aragon was suspended for behavior that jeopardizes the health, safety, and well-being of patrons and staff at Rawlings library. Aragon is suspended for 1 month and is eligible for reinstatement on 01/16/2020. Aragon was in Rawlings library on 12/28/2019 in violation of his suspension.

Jeremiah Chavez

Chavez was suspended for theft of a mouse in Youth Services at Rawlings library. Chavez is suspended for 1 month and is eligible for reinstatement on 01/17/2020. Chavez suspension is continued for trespassing, harassment, and obscene language while under suspension. This occured on 02/18/2020 at Rawlings library. Chavez is suspended for 6 months. Chavez will be eligible for reinstatement on 08/18/2020. Chavez has been reinstated. He served his suspension term plus 14 months without further incident or occurrence.

I am pleased to announce the following changes. The Board of Trustees and I recently agreed on these. Sherri Baca now becomes PCCLD Associate Executive Director. The current needs of the institution are better supported by formally identifying a second-in-command for the District.
