Dear colleagues, I'm excited to announce the Adult Summer Reading Registration Challenge! Last year, we had exactly 500 adult registrations. This year, we're shooting for a 20 percent increase, but would love to exceed that. Can we do this together?
There is a new procedure for bringing on volunteers that will be faster and more efficient. Human Resources will now post all volunteer applications on the Portal for managers to access when they need a volunteer. Volunteer applicants can be found under the HR tab / Volunteers.
This is a reminder to pull up the most current form on the portal (listed under Finance forms) to use for mileage reimbursement. The rate changes annually, and we've seen some older forms come through with an old rate. The current IRS reimbursement rate is $0.575/mile, not $0.56/mile.
The Spring Weigh & Win Challenge which ran from February 1st through April 30th has come to an exciting end. Four PCCLD teams competed in this state-wide competition with the goal of shedding unwanted pounds by developing healthy habits.

The Human Resources Department will have a new look in May due to upcoming changes in staffing. I am pleased to announce that Marilyn Baillargeon will be taking on the role of Human Resources Assistant while continuing to perform some of her current duties.
