September 26th is National Voter Registration Day. I went down to our voting office, and picked up a bunch of Voter Registration forms that Community Relations will be distributing in the totes.

Farewell to Jose Ortega
We would like to announce that Jose Ortega will be leaving PCCLD on August 31st. Jose has served as Digitization Coordinator in the Special Collections department for two years. He has accepted a full-time position and we wish Jose the best in his future endeavors!
Solar Eclipse - Safety Suggestions
On Monday, August 21, Colorado will have 80-90% totality at the peak time of 11:47 am (eclipse begins at 10:20 am and ends at 1:15 pm.)
THINGS TO REMEMBER
1. Employees should NOT view the eclipse unless using specialized glasses or a welder’s hood/goggles with shade 14 or higher.
