Vision Statement:

PCCLD Culture Vision: The Pueblo City-County Library District is committed to fostering a workplace culture that embodies accountability, adaptability, innovation, respectful communication and safety. We aim to create an environment where considerate behavior, teamwork and shared experience thrive, where transparency and responsibility are upheld, and where new ideas and inclusion are encouraged.   • August 2023
    • Draft of RFP for core workgroup -- workplace culture consultant was sent to culture committee for review
    • RFP launched and posted on PCCLD website
  • October – December 2023
    • Proposals from potential consultants reviewed and scored by core culture committee workgroup
    • Culture work plan was presented to Trustees
    • Prospective consultant interviews conducted
    • Moss Adams selected as workplace culture consultant
  • January 2024
    • Culture initiative kick-off, Moss Adams fully engaged
    • Documents such as policies, procedures, job descriptions, turnover rates, org chart, strategic and annual plans, etc were sent to and reviewed by Moss Adams consultants
  • February - March 2024
    • Moss Adams representatives introduced and presented to Trustees
    • Data gathering in the form of employee surveys, listening sessions and focus groups began
  • April 2024
    • First culture workshop was held, included library leadership team, trustees and culture committee members
  • May 2024
    • Second workshop was facilitated, attendees included library leadership and culture committee
    • Slides were sent to all staff summarizing the work from the surveys
    • Listening sessions and focus groups along with the two workshops were held, feedback was requested from staff in these sessions
  • July 2024
    • A final summary report and implementation plan was developed in concert with Moss Adams
    • A final summary report narrative and implementation plan timeline was distributed to all PCCLD employees
  • August 2024
    • At the annual retreat the Culture Committee presented elements of the implementation plan
    • Culture was a key topic throughout the annual retreat
  • October 2024
    • An employee recognition session was offered as a break-out session at staff day so brainstorming could begin in anticipation of the development of a new employee recognition program
  • January 2025
    • Establish 2025 Annual Plan and Budget with nine goals in the area of culture and diversity

In addition to current members, the Culture Committee will add one library employee from each branch/department if not currently represented. Approval to serve on the Culture Committee must be granted by one's supervisor. Please contact Sherri Baca to learn more about serving on the Culture Committee.
