Jackie Swanson will be leaving PCCLD on July 31st. Jackie has worked as our Adult Literacy Coordinator in the RRA department for a little over 2 years. Please join me in thanking Jackie for her service and wishing her well!

I wanted to make everyone aware of some changes due to the upcoming ILS migration from Sirsi to Koha.

We are pleased to welcome Virginia Ramos to the Facilities department as our new Day Porter. Virginia recently relocated to Pueblo from the Denver area where she worked on the custodial crew at Denver Public Schools. Welcome to PCCLD Virginia!

We are pleased to welcome Andrew Ortiz, new part-time Security Officer, to PCCLD! Andrew joins us with six years of security experience. He will be primarily stationed at the Rawlings branch in the evenings. Welcome Andrew!

Educational experiences - like museum visits, camps, trips to the zoo, art classes, etc. - aren't just fun. They provide children with something vital - background knowledge. Background knowledge provides children the foundation to understand what they read and study.

Enjoys customer service, has experience with working in another small library, sorting & stacking books, childrens story time, assisting elderly patrons, ect. Has a Bachelors Degree. Really enjoys spending time in the library most weeks already.

Would like: Tutoring/reading Skills: Writer, paasionate/adament about helping give others the fit of reading, English major in college, have taught all age of students

Please join in welcoming Ruby Vigil as an MHT at the Barkman Branch. Ruby has recently relocated to Pueblo from the Denver area where she worked for 8 years as a special education and library paraprofessional in the Sunrise Elementary School. Ruby's first day is July 23rd.
