We hope this email finds you well. We are writing here with a brief update on PCCLD.
Library leadership continues to monitor the circumstances with regard to the COVID-19 public health crisis.
After careful consideration and monitoring of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Pueblo City-County Library District has extended its closure of library locations to the public through April 19, re-opening April 20.
Yesterday, the library trustees had a productive meeting. Here are the critical points I want to share:
1- PCCLD's buildings will remain closed to the public through April 19, 2020.
In addition to the closure of all PCCLD library locations, several satellite locations are closed as well. PCCLD satellite locations currently closed are Avondale Elementary and Beulah School of Natural Sciences.
All Pueblo City-County Library District (PCCLD) locations will close to the public beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 13 in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Effective tonight at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, the Pueblo City-County Library District will temporarily close all library locations to the public and these closures will remain in effect until Monday, March 30.
We've made the difficult decision to cancel all library programs, classes, events, and outreach activities effective March 13 through April 15, 2020. This includes all meeting room bookings.
