YS Celebrates Banned Books Week

Rawlings Youth Services is celebrating Banned Books Week, when libraries all over the country promote the freedom to read. This week is especially important for young patrons, whose reading choices are often policed by adults - whether relatives, school officials, or overzealous community members.

12/7/2016 - entered Barkman Library.  AG spoke with grandmother regarding suspension.  Left without incident.

April 2017 - possession of a controlled substance, trespassing.  Created a video depicting "how to roll a blunt in the library" in the PW men's bathroom. 

Sept 2016 - Nicholas Hanna has been suspended from all libraries for substance abuse.

The Corporate Cup events begin tomorrow at the YMCA!  Most events will take place at the YMCA with the exception of the Bike Predict on 9/11 (at the Test Track), Bowling (Bowlero at Midtown) and Neighborhood Day (at PCCLD & PAWS).
