On Monday, February 3rd, the Second Floor Library Enhancement Project will begin at the Rawlings Library. In order to complete the renovation, Rawllings Second Floor -- Reference and Readers Advisory and Teen Central -- will be closed to the public for approximately 6 weeks.
Computers and often requested materials will be found in the meetings rooms on the first floor for continued browsing. Popular items from Teen Central have been moved to Youth Services. Staff will be availabe to facilitate holds for access to additional materials.
Below is a handout explaining the location of materials and services offered by Reference and Readers Advisory.
We continue to prepare for Monday's transition:
- Friday night -- public computers will be moved to Bret Kelly Room B. Computer services will begin for the public starting Saturday morning.
- Saturday -- all adult fiction, non-fiction and largeprint materials returned to Rawlings will begin to be shelved in the Thurston Meeting Room.
- Saturday evening -- most of the DVD and Audiobook collections will be moved to Bret Kelly Room B.
I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this project happen.
Please feel free to contact Carol Rooney if you have any questions or concerns about the project.
