If you're a fan of StoryCorps, now is your chance to be part of this incredible project! StoryCorps collects the stories of everyday people to include in the Library of Congress' Folk Life Center. You might have heard some of their amazing content on NPR. They are coming to Pueblo Sept. 14-16 as part of our IMLS Medal prize package. There are 15 conversation slots that will be available and we'll be talking about the impact of the public library and love of reading. A contest will launch today for anyone (including PCCLD employees) who would like to apply to be part of the conversations. We will ultimately use all the content for fundraising purposes and we'll host a listening party in October as part of All Pueblo Reads. Hope you'll enter and encourage the public to participate as well. This is a very rare and special opportunity!
