Hello All,
PCCLD is teaming up with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Southern Colorado Harm Reduction to offer vaccination clinics at PCCLD library locations. Each clinic will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. and the clinic schedule can be found by clicking the link below. At each clinic, the two-does Pfizer and single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be administered. If a patron chooses the Pfizer vaccine, a second dose clinic will be schedule four weeks after the initial dose.
The link below can serve as the information hub for this vaccination effort. This webpage provides the schedule of clinics, allows people to schedule a vaccination appointment, and provides additional information about the vaccination.
The goal with this program is to provide clinics to under-served populations and provide a resource to individuals who may have been hesitant to receive the vaccination initially. One additional (and really cool) feature of this program is that through a partnership with Healthier Colorado we have funds to provide free Lyft rides to individuals who may not have access to transportation and want to get vaccinated. A form for individuals to request a Lyft voucher is included in the weblink below.
Each branch manager has submitted great outreach plans so we can spread this message far and wide.
Pueblo County is trailing most areas in the state in the category of vaccinated citizens. CDPHE is hoping that PCCLD can get this message out to hard-to-reach individuals so our citizens can have access to the vaccine. Marketing materials have been sent to each library location and more marketing efforts will come out between now and the first vaccine clinics. This is partnership offers our community a great opportunity, I hope that everyone can help get this message out to members of our community.
