Good evening, everyone! It's hard to believe that it is Mid-July and we only have about 1 month of Summer Reading left. It has been a fast and busy summer - and I know we feel it in Youth Services...do you?
I wanted to give you an update of where we are in Summer Reading. At the beginning of the Summer I gave each branch a goal based on last year's participation and youth library cardholders in your community. Most locations have met and exceeded that goal - YIPPEEEE!!! The incentive winners will be the ones who have exceeded that goal by the highest percentage!
For the locations who have yet to meet the goal, I am thinking that this is where we will see that some of our patrons have shifted to one of the new locations...that is part of their community. It's an interesting thing to see how our use distributes itself!
Keep in mind - this year's accomplishment is next year's goal!
So - without further ado - here is your progress thus far!
Barkman - Goal: 725 - Current Registration: 620 - Percentage: 85.51%
Giodone and Avondale - Goal: 147 - Current Registration: 559 - Percentage: 380.43%
Greenhorn Valley and Beulah - Goal: 109 - Current Registration: 322 - Percentage: 294.49%
Lamb - Goal: 824 - Current Registration: 778 - Percentage: 94.41%
Library at the Y - Goal: 50 - Current Registration: 403 - Percentage: 800.25%
Lucero - Goal: 56 - Current Registration: 624 - Percentage: 1109.87%
Pueblo West - Goal: 1335 - Current Registration: 1336 - Percentage: 100.06%
Rawlings - Goal: 3827 - Current Registration: 1928 - Percentage: 50.38%
With all of the changes in the district and factors figuring into this - I'm not at all surprised by the current status! Rawlings as the furthest to go toward our goal, but Lucero has (so far) exceeded theirs the most!
And now - here we are - 4 weeks left...and....we have 6570 youth TOTAL registered for Summer Reading. We are SOOO CLOSE to last year's total of 7074....don't run out of steam!!! Register as many kids as you can to get kids in Pueblo reading throughout the summer! It's time, folks, to blow away last year's total!!!!
