Summer Highlights - Week 6

Author: Maria.Kramer / Date:
Hi everyone! We're in the final lap of summer programs, but that doesn't mean we're slowing down. We've had some great events - here are my favorites. Please share yours!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover - Children dropped off their stuffed animals at Rawlings, then picked them up the next morning with photos of all the fun they had in the Library. Plus - a fun waffle breakfast! Pictures are attached.

DIY Ice Cream at Giodone - Our ice cream making kit hit Giodone last week, and 24 happy people participated. Picture attached.

Raptor Center Visits the Y - The Raptor Center visited our tween program at the Y, with an extremely disgruntled owl. The poor guy would not stop grumbling through the entire presentation. Hilarious!

You may be aware that we've been tracking how many books participants are reading at each location, and if locations reach a pre-set goal their participants get an extra prize. This week I tallied up everyone's number and our youth and teen Summer Reading participants have read and incredible 9,144 books total! Imagine how many books they will have read when the program wraps up in August!

Please share your highlights in the comments.
