Rawlings - Our Summer Works writing camp took place this week at Rawlings. 21 teens and tweens came together over three days to practice adventure writing, led by Lucy Higgins, associate editor for Backcountry Magazine. After an editing workshop later this month, participants will submit their work in July to be collected in a small publication.
Books in the Park - We had a great week at BIP - with kickoff parties at Bessemer and Fairmount Parks. Kids played in a bounce house, got their faces painted, enjoyed bubbles and balloon animals, and ate pizza! A photographer from the Chieftain stopped by to capture the great time we had.
