Dear All,
I am reaching out about COVID-19 and PCCLD operations. The virus spread is spiking nationally and locally. The State of Colorado has put local authorities on notice that Pueblo County is in a tenuous situation at this time and we will be forced to dial back on current social and business activities if conditions don’t improve. The coming two weeks are viewed as critical locally. All of us on staff should focus renewed attention now on wearing facemasks, practicing social distancing, and frequently sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
We also must be prepared to dial back from PCCLD's current reopening status, if conditions warrant. We must be nimble and stand ready to reduce or restrict activities, as required. If this happens, it could include any range of possibilities, but, for now, the most likely scenario may be refocusing on online and curbside services. Fortunately, we now have procedures in place for these, so we should feel fairly confident in responding relatively quickly as circumstances dictate. All plans for further reopening are on-hold for now.
Your supervisor is aware of this situation. I encourage you to share any intelligence on this matter with your supervisor. Our internal communication is critical to our ongoing success.
