We have been getting several notifications about potential SPAM, virus, and phishing emails.
Please remember: The Internet can be a dangerous place!Always use common sense and good judgment when browsing the Internet & responding to emails.
NEVER Provide personal information over email (SSN, DOB, or Banking Info)
Spammers & Phishers can Spoof Email Addresses so they look like they are from someone you know or that they are important (ie. IRS).
Report Phishing & SPAM email to Google. It will help to improve filtering in the future.
If something doesn't look right, It probably isn't...!
IT will continue to work with Google to limit the amount of Spam, Viruses, & Phishing emails you receive, but no system is perfect. You can assist us in reporting emails to Google directly. If there is a possibility of Spam, Phishing or a virus, Google will normally add it to the top of the message (Example below). If not, you can report it via the context menu (down arrow) next to Time /Date and Reply button.
