Good morning and welcome to Reference Counts Week!
Here are a few helpful tips about tracking questions this week:
1) Open DART at the beginning of each shift. It is best if questions are logged in real-time, so enter them as you go!
DART form: https://dart.lrs.org
Username: PCCLD
Password: PCCLD
2) Questions don’t always happen in person – if you field a reference transaction on the phone…LOG IT! You also don’t have to sit at a Reference Desk to provide the answer to a question! MHTs do it too – any reference question that you answer without referring to someone else should be tracked…LOG IT! Similarly, if you are working in the back office and you help with a reference transaction.....LOG IT!
3) Counting reference transactions does not in any way measure your level of busy-ness! Right now we are simply trying to count transactions so we can accurately report these statistics on the surveys we complete at the end of the year.
4) It is mandatory for you to enter the location where you are working. However, the second location question can be skipped if you are working at a branch. Only answer this location question if you need to specify which department (at Rawlings) you are in!
5) If you haven't watched the training about reference transactions on PCCLD-U, please do so at your earliest convenience!
