You may have noticed that H.W. Houston has begun constructing temporary walls on the first floor of the Rawlings Library in preparation for the demolition work that will soon commence. Please be advised not to enter any active construction areas behind these walls unless you are touring with someone from H.W. Houston and wearing a hard hat.
Additionally, some demolition work will also start to take place soon in the Garden Level down the Technical Services hallway. This work should not significantly impede access to that area, but it is recommended that staff access the mailroom through the Technical Services door closest to the lockers and elevator. Similarly, staff are encouraged to use the staff breakroom entrance rather than the loading dock doors during this time when entering and exiting the building through the Garden Level.
