Pueblo library lifts mask requirement for public, starts distribution of at-home rapid test kits

Effective immediately, face masks are no longer required to be worn by the public while inside Pueblo City-County Library District buildings. Library meeting rooms are also now open to the public. This loosening of the library district’s COVID-19 protocols is a result of the decrease in Pueblo County’s COVID-19 cases.
Meeting room reservations can be made through the library’s website, www.pueblolibrary.org, or by calling (719) 562-5600. Rooms no longer have social distancing capacity limits and are available for in person and after-hours events. Due to ongoing renovations, meeting rooms at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library, 100 E. Abriendo Ave., are not available to the public at this time. Meeting rooms have not
 
At-Home Rapid Test Kits
Starting on Friday, March 4, all PCCLD locations will begin distributing COVID-19 rapid test kits. A total of four test kits per person can be picked up during library business hours. Each at-home kit contains two tests; results are available in 15 minutes. More information about the test kits and availability is available at www.pueblolibrary.org/CovidTestKits.
 
KN95 Masks
KN95 masks are still available at all library locations, with a limit five masks, per person. For more information, go to www.pueblolibrary.org/MaskGiveaway
Rapid test kits and KN95 masks are free and available while supplies last; no proof of ID or library card is needed; kits and masks must be picked up in person.
Rapid test kits and KN95 masks can be picked up during library hours at the following library locations:

·        Greenhorn Valley Library, 4801 Cibola Drive, Colorado City
·        Lamb Library, 2525 S. Pueblo Blvd.
·        Library at the Y, 3200 E. Spaulding Ave.
·        Patrick A. Lucero Library, 1315 E. 7th St.
·        Pueblo West Library, 298 S. Joe Martinez Blvd., Pueblo West
·        Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library, 100 E. Abriendo Ave.
 
More than 15,000 at-home rapid test kits and more than 30,000 KN95 and surgical-grade masks are provided by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in an effort to stem the spread of COVID-19. PCCLD administration continues to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDPHE and the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment.
