This year over 1,000 kids ages 0-4 participated in our Summer Reading Program for pre-readers. Based on Every Child Ready to Read practices, this program encouraged the habits that foster early literacy - parents reading, talking, singing, writing and playing with their children. Grand prize winners received a pack with books, toys, a children's music CD and two shakers to help keep those good habits going all year!
