The local COVID-19 conditions have improved quite a lot in Pueblo County in recent weeks. The county now is in the blue status on the state’s COVID-19 dial (https://county.pueblo.org/public-health/covid-19 and https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wpq8MrsvtY0_jW07mWCLmVXtv4P_wFR2/view). As a result, PCCLD will open services a bit more starting Monday, March 1, in a narrow and responsible manner. This change includes providing limited access to public meeting rooms with a reservation during regular library hours. Kayci Barnett, PCCLD’s lead trainer, will post a training document in PCCLD University on Wednesday, February 24, with additional important details on this change. Please review this training document once Kayci sends you notice that it is available.
The loosened restrictions and improving COVID-19 conditions in Pueblo do not mean the pandemic is over. In fact, the virus remains a problem that requires ongoing attention. Local public health conditions will continue to be carefully monitored and services are subject to change as circumstances warrant. Facemasks and social distancing requirements inside libraries will remain in place and members of the public will still be limited to two hours per day per person inside libraries.
Your manager is in the loop on these changes, so check-in with your manager should you have questions after reviewing the training document that will be posted on Wednesday.
