PCCLD Employee Retention Bonus

Dear All, I am pleased to report the PCCLD Board of Trustees adopted recommendations last night to pay library employees two retention incentive bonuses in 2022. Employees will see the first bonus payment deposited into individual bank accounts next week on June 30. The second payment will occur on September 30, 2022. These two one-time bonus payments are intended to reward you for being a valuable PCCLD team member and as incentive to keep you engaged with PCCLD during this key time. We recognize the inflation occurring in the overall economy right now, and we want to do what we can to help mitigate the financial impact of inflation as well as appreciate each of you for continuing to be an important PCCLD team member. Here are additional details. Library employees will receive two retention incentive bonuses in 2022. The first bonus will be a one-time payment to each worker effective June 30, 2022, and the second one-time bonus will be paid to each worker employed with PCCLD effective September 30, 2022. For all regular employees, each of the two individual bonus payments will equal two percent of the employee’s annual salary. For library substitute employees, the individual bonus payments will equal $200 for those who have worked more than 100 hours year-to-date and $100 for those who have worked 20-100 hours year-to-date. These will be one-time bonuses and not change base salary, and all payments will be subject to applicable payroll tax withholdings. Furthermore, PCCLD will set aside funds for employee retention payments in the FY2023 budget to be paid in January 2023, and, also, PCCLD will conduct an employee salary market study in the first quarter of 2023 with an additional allocation included in the FY2023 budget to begin implementing recommendations of the salary market study.
