As many of you know, every year at the CAL (Colorado Association of Library) Conference a number of awards are distributed to deserving folks around the state for their excellent efforts in the library world. This year, the Pueblo City-County Library District is honored to be receiving two awards.
Kathy Knox, former Director of Public Service, is being awarded with the Career Achievement award, and the Friends of the Library will receive the Library Advocate award. These are both very prestigious awards, and there was worthy competition in these categories.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Embassy Suites Loveland conference hotel on Friday, October 17, at the noon lunch. You don't have to attend the conference to go to the luncheon - tickets are $30 and are available online. If you're going to CAL, please attend the lunch on Friday to support our super stars! If you can't go, be sure to congratulate these deserving winners the next time you see them. Go PCCLD!
