If you would like to participate in positive library outreach for the LGBT community, please come to the Pueblo Pride Parade at Mineral Palace Park on Sunday, August 20th from 9ish to 1ish.
I have secured a booth at the Pueblo Pride Parade, and a space for the library to march in the parade. I will set up our booth starting at 8am, the parade line-up starts at 9:30am, and the parade begins at 10:30am. Then there will be festivties in the park starting at 11.
Our theme for the parade is "Libraries are for Everyone", and CR is making signs for us to carry. I could use people who will sit at the booth during the march, and people who would like to march. This is a volunteer opportunity, but should be lots of fun.
I've attached the map of where the booth will be, and where the parade lines up.
Please, let me know if you're planning to attend, so I can make sure to have enough water and snacks for everyone.
