Adult Summer Reading: Libraries Rock!

June 1 -Aug. 11

REGISTER FIRST
Anyone ages 18+ can register and receive a $5 coupon to Books Again Bookstore just for signing up – staff included! Coupons should be handed to patrons as you are registering them. Those who register online will be mailed a coupon. There will be a field in Reading Record to select if patrons were given a coupon. Please be sure you are entering patron information as accurately as possible, especially addresses and zip codes.
Limit one entry per person. Deadline to register is Aug. 11.

GRAND PRIZE ENTRY
Read five books from June 1 -Aug. 11 to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing! This year’s grand prize is a Samsung Tablet with Google Play gift card! Patrons will list the five books they’ve read during the summer on the entry form and give to a library staff member to be entered to win. Patrons may enter up to three times for a chance to win (read up to 15 books). Staff are not eligible for the grand prize but you are still encouraged to read and submit your form!
 ***NEW THIS YEAR!***
Parents will be completing the Family Board for Summer Reading – so this year adults completing three family boards will be the equivalent of completing three adult grand prize entries.
What do I do if an adult completes three family boards?
  1. Make sure to register the adult(s) in Reading Record with all the info needed.
  2. Give the adult(s) the Books Again coupon upon registration.
  3. Give them a grand prize entry for the first three completed boards.
Entry forms are available at all library locations, in the adult only program guide or online at http://www.pueblolibrary.org/summerreading.

Reading Record
Branches that are familiar with Reading Record are asked to enter registration forms. You may also send registration forms to Community Relations to alleviate any extra work this may cause. If you send forms, please indicate if they have or haven't been entered yet.

KEY RESULTS - HOW CAN WE INCREASE REGISTRATION AND PROGRAM ATTENDANCE?
  • Encourage every adult to sign up when they are registering their children! This is an easy way to increase our registrations since these adults are already at the library.
  • Designate a person who will be working during any adult program, to take two minutes at the beginning or end to stop in the room and pass out registration slips and collect from every person in attendance. Another easy way to reach adult who are already at the library!
  • There are over 100 adult programs, so there is sure to be something for everyone!
  • Remind patrons that they can receive weekly emails about upcoming programs.
    • Are you interested in receiving information via email about library programs? It's easy! Go to our homepage and click on the button above the events calendar that says, "Sign Up for News & Events." You just need to enter your name and email address and then you will receive a weekly e-blast highlighting programs that are coming up.
Project Outcome Surveys are available to help you evaluate your programs. Contact Dave Hayden at ext. 202.
