Books in the Park is changing dramatically for this summer.It will run June 15 - August 7, from 10-12. Monday-Wednesday we will be at the Bessemer Park Pool parking lot, Thursday and Friday at the Morton Elementary drop-off lane.
Patrons can drive up or walk up and receive bags for youth, teens and/or adults. Youth do not have to be present if an adult is picking up for them. Youth bags have three books, a snack pack and a craft. Teen bags have three books and a snack pack.Adult bags have three books.Bags are pre-packed and staff WILL NOT make substitutions at curbside.
Patrons can come each day, if they desire, but we ask they pick up one bag per person. Book returns and donations will be accepted in a contact-free process and quarantined. Our Books in the Park Assistants are Celeste Arellano and Annette Santistevan - both on the sub pool, so you may know them!
