HB21-1264 Funds Workforce Development Increase Worker Skills was signed by Governor Polis on June 23. The bill will provide $75 million for reskilling, upskilling, and next-skilling opportunities for Coloradans that lead to industry-recognized credentials and get people working in growing industries. The execution of this legislation will build on the data in the Talent Pipeline Report and work to achieve the overarching goals of the state and local areas to support Coloradans.

Apply by Sept. 3: HB21-1264 Upskilling, Reskilling, and Next-Skilling Workers Grant
$2.25 million in grant funding is now available to eligible entities through a competitive application process. These funds are intended to support up to 1,200 individuals to earn an industry-recognized credential during the grant period. The following entities that have a partnership with local workforce centers are eligible to apply for these grant funds:
Community-based nonprofit organizations
Sector partnerships
Local governments
Institutions of higher education
