COVID-19 Update

Author: Sherri.Baca / Date:
Today, the State of Colorado is transferring control of COVID-19 restrictions and protocol to local health authorities. The Colorado Dept. of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) is retaining control of the face mask mandate as well as overseeing large indoor gatherings in the state. Face masks continue to be required in the library (except for children under 3 years of age). Accommodations remain available for those unable to tolerate a face mask. We are waiting for further information from the Pueblo Dept. of Public Health & Environment (PDPHE) regarding updates to local COVID-19 restrictions. Until then, Pueblo County is holding steady in the Yellow status and we are monitoring things carefully. As such, PCCLD is remaining in our current library service level which is Phase 5 of our reopening plan. There is a spike in COVID-19 cases locally and we encourage staff to inoculate at the Colorado State fairgrounds or a local pharmacy. Please see the PCCLD portal announcements for information on vaccination. Please also notify Terri Daly, Director of HR, if any individual has COVID-like symptoms and stay home if this is the case. Many thanks to everyone for your attention to this and other information provided by the library.
