It is getting to be that time of year again, Corporate Cup! For those of you who don't know what it is, CC is sponsored by Pueblo YMCA and is a community competition between local organizations and businesses promoting fitness, health, and wellness in the workplace. It is a series of competitions including volleyball, bowling, rock climbing, tug of war, tennis, bicycling, running/walking, and so much more! There are two new events this year, frisbee golf and kickball!
Corporate Cup takes place between September 12th and 27th. The kickoff date is Saturday September 12th with many events taking place that day on the YMCA campus. The library will pay each employee's entry fee and all you as an employee are responsible for is the Corporate Cup tshirt you must wear while participating in team events. This year our shirts will be teal, and Courtney Woodka will be designing them to go along with CC's theme of One Team, One Dream. PCCLD is in Division 2 which has companies ranging from 100-299 employees.
I have attached an individual registration form as well as the schedule of events. Events are done on your own time so you will want to work with your supervisor to ensure you are available for the events you'd like to participate in. Also because there are so many events this year, some overlap each other so you will want to check on that. If anyone would like to be a team captain, we will need volunteers for volleyball, kickball, softball, and bowling. Please let me know if you are interested.
There is also a health challenge that takes place over the course of three weeks in September. This is a great event for those who don't want to participate in a competition, but still want to be involved. There will be more details to come on that later. Employees participating in only the health challenge are not required to purchase a tshirt.
I will be sending out more information in the coming weeks. I'd like to have individual registrations due back by August 15th, so there is plenty of time to get registered. Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime!
