Today's challenge at Lego Mania was to build a vessel, in any of the definitions of the word. (Look it up!) This reporter is pleased to announce that three young ladies worked together to build a cooperative model of Amelia Earhart's plane. As girls are not often participants in STEM education due to societal forces, seeing these young ladies enthusiastically work together to come up with and create such a wonderful solution to an open-ended challenge was a breath of fresh air. We hope to see such creativity and cooperation at many more Lego Mania programs in the future! - Submitted by Sharon Rice
