PCCLD recently reached a significant milestone that is small but important. We've used over 10 million barcodes and our prefix has changed to accommodate this. This means that the prefix is no longer 02222. It has changed to 02220. I know that we all know our prefixes for our customers and our materials, they're 12222 and 02222, easy peasy! We all have this so ingrained that we don't even ask customers to tell us the prefix when we're looking up an item. I know that I am going to try to look something up by barcode at some point, and I'm going to enter 02222 and not find what I'm looking for. I'll search a couple of times before I remember that it might have the new prefix.
