I am pleased to share that PCCLD has earned honors as a 2018 Four Star Library.
This designation is awarded annually by Library Journal. This year, 7,361 U.S. public libraries qualified to be rated in the Index. In this edition, there are 257 Star Libraries, each receiving three-Star, four-Star, or five-Star designations. PCCLD's designation places it in the top 3.5 percent of all public libraries nationally. Criteria for measuring success in this rating systme include five different measures of the service libraries deliver to their communities: overall circulation, circulation of electronic materials, library visits, program attendance, and public Internet computer use.
